i have recently changed the clutch pedal of my golf due to is just breaking and rubbish design pattern by vw and wanted tio know if there is a way of switching of the airbag light as when i changed the pedal i took out the drivers seat and had to unplug a plug connected to the seat which i done everything works perfect but the light is on Y i dont know would i be able to switch it off i hope so

The reason the airbag light is on is that when you unplugged the seat (without unplugging the battery first I assume) is that an airbag fault code has been stored. It will stay there until it is cleared, using VAG-COM or similar.

definately may be the cause as i did not disconnect the battery as i hadnt a clue that i had to because i was following someones previous blog and it did not mention that or even mention to remove the seat cheers thanks for that could u recommend a place where i could get the light wiped off

Pretty much any garage will have diagnostic equipment that can do it.
