Hi, has anyone had a problem with washer fluid leaking into the boot?
I've had a look and there is a metal pipe that runs up through the motor assembly which the washer jet seems to push into. But the end of the metal pipe is broken and does not seal, so water also comes into the boot and the washer jet also turns with the wiper instead of just spraying up the window.
Is the whole assembly needing to be replaced or can i just buy the new metal pipe? or has anyone found a fix for this problem?

Rear washer isn't part of an MOT only the front washers. Have you approached VW or your local dealer? Perhaps they will offer good will on the repair if it’s a genuine failure and the car is just out of warranty. I’d be pretty annoyed, it’s not a part which is used that often and you wouldn’t expect it to fail so soon!

Thanks, i am pretty annoyed, my Audi used to have lots of silly faults as well.
The car is due its MOT on Monday at VW so i may speak to them then and see what they offer?
