Does anyone have HID main beams fitted, and if so what are they like?

My car has factory HID's on the dipped, but i was considering doing a HID coversion on my main beam - there is a slim line plug and playkit on the net i had in mind - means no chopping of the loom. Anyone any thoughts on HID mains? my main concern was can you flash some one with them - ie letting someone out of a junction etc? my dipped HID's take a second or two to warm up..

they can be done easy and cheap
i had them fitted was good for country lane driveing
no good for flashing cars out from junctions etc
but if its what you want go for it
