Hi,
The cold snowy weather seems to affecting my 1998 A3 1.9TDI sport, like many i've been reading, my handling is badly affected in the snow conditions and not just with having low tread tyres.
But since my handbrake has been deemed useless for holding the car, it has to pulled right up to have any affect, but doing this the other night and then returning to it and driving off, even those the brake is off the car has since felt like some of the rear brake capillers piston have jammed due the coldness.
The car slows much quicker as soon as i come off the accelarator, and feels as if i'am going against something as i drive.
I jacked the rear of the car up this evening to see if the both rear wheels would turn freely by hand and they seemed fine.
I then lifted the front and tried the same there, they where alot heavier to turn but expect that is due to all the driving equipment.
So unsure now what maybe the cause, those the steering does feel different and slighty heavier or turns.
Any help would be much appreciated!
regards
