Hi,
I had to change the batteries on my key fob, now it does not seem to be working. The key still starts the car, it just won't lock or unlock the car.
Please help.....
Thanks
Re-sync the key to the car, as listed in the handbook.

Hi,
Looked in the manual and it says take the car back to the dealer ! :(
Is there anything I can try ? Or will it have t go back to the dealer ?
Thanks

Searched and tried everything, but nothing seems to work !!!
Anyone actually tried a way to do this that has worked ?
To sync your remote with central lock there is two ways. One you close car by key and in 1 sec press unlock button and it should work. If not second way is to clear memory and reprogramme all remotes. To clear memory in central lock put one of your keys in ignition and turn it to position on but don't start engine. After that get out of your car and with second key close your car (not with remote) and press 5x unlock button on your remote. The indicators supposed flash each time U press unlock. Next step open your car with key and take it out the other one and close car by key. Wait about 1 min and open car put one of keys in ignition and turn it to on.(Take it the fob from remote from key in ignition). Close all windows and close door by key and press on your first remote one time unlock and indicator supposed flash one time wait 15 sec and press and hold unlock for confirmation and car should open. Next step take key form ignition and test unlock and lock.
Do the same for other remote but when U will program it U have to press twice unlock and again wait 15 sec and press one more time unlock to confirm.
This way works fine I was useing it.

if it worked prior to the battery change, I doubt there's anything untoward.
Your key just needs resyncing, if you can't do it manually pop to your local dealer or indy garage and they'll be able to do it for you.

If you mean the re-sync by locking, unlocking and all that then this has been done, still nothing.

You had a remote that worked.
you took out the old battery & put in a new one.
the remote function of the fob no longer works, but starts the car without issue.
the doors lock & unlock manually on the key which means your remote needs resyncing.
Sometimes resyncing manually doesn't work - hence my suggestion that you go to a dealer or an indy and have them use their computer to recode the fob remote to your car.

VCDS, yes. But main dealers use their own system, not VCDS - I was being generic to avoid being corrected by the pedants amongst us ;)
