Plenum filled with water, Servo Knackered......
I know all the previous threads on this indicate Brake Servo replacement, but can anyone give me a link to show how to replace it?.... Don't want to tackle it blind! If anyone can point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it, as I really want to do this today!

Build-up brake pressure in brake system by pumping the brake pedal.
Attach bleeder bottle hose and open bleed screw.
Close bleed valve with pedal held down.
Repeat operation until no air is present.
Bleeding sequence:
1. Rear right brake caliper
2. Rear left brake caliper
3. Front right brake caliper
4. Front left brake caliper

If you decide to use an easy bleed system still pump the brakes as myself and somebody else i know have had problems with air locks even though this bit of kit is supposed to prevent that from happening.
I would recommend pumping the brake a minimum of at least 12 times per corner.
I had my brake fluid changed recently and even though when they bled the brakes and the pedal felt firm as i drove the car away the pedal went to the floor. Not a good feeling.
Made it back ok and got them to do the brakes again and more air bubbles came out of the rear brakes. Probelm sorted.

I'm having the same problem on 2002 TDI 130. Taken to main dealer today for plenum recall and they have confirmed water in the brake servo. Claim raised with VW customer care and quoted £600 for repair. Ouch. Is it possible to drain the water from the servo? I will keep an eye on the water level in the plenum from now on.

Once the servo is damaged by water getting in it needs replacing. It is too dangerous to risk this failing at high speed. In theory you can still stop with no servo assistance but it is far from easy and not something you want to find out.

Just an update. The servo was replaced free of charge thanks to VW customer service. Had to wait 3weeks for a servo but better than £600. Two days after getting the car back I get a recall from VW about the brake servo water ingress.
