Late B6 model TDi 130 Avant, 54 Reg on 67k miles. Multitronic oil change done at 40k and no problem until a week ago when I noticed some minor juddering when she takes up the slack.

I've spoken to Inde-tech and have started saving for the 7 plate conversion (Audi contribution won't be an option), but was wondering what kind of time-frame I'm into here. How long can I expect to be able to struggle on with the juddering before something serious occurs...?

Any views?

That already has a seven plate clutch. Have the oil changed the system (including filter and cooler) blown through clear.

Interesting.... I'd assumed six plates of course. How can you be sure?

The ECU was replaced on my sep 2003 registered multitronic at around 40K miles, no problems since. Now has 171000 miles and still going strong. Oil change every 40k miles! At least you know you should get to that mileage with no problems! Great automatic, but If I was ever to get an auto again , I think it would be the 7speed DSG. No maintenance!!! At least that's what we are told NOW! Anyway, By the time I get a new car I will probably have the choice of Electric cars, and they don't need gearbox's at all. LOL :biglaugh:
