Car broke down the other day - had to get her towed to a garage. They diagnosed it as a injector fault and set about repairing it.
It turned out that one injector and the injector wiring loom needed replacing. Ok fair enough, i imagine this happens from time to time until the bill arrives. How can they justify nearly £500 just for the injector! :zx11:
Does anyone know if this is a common fault. The car is 2 months out of warranty and I am concerned that the others might go. The garage suggested it might be a good idea to look into some kind of warranty.
Also when the old wiring loom came out, they said that bits of the plastic were broken. I had the injector seals done under warranty about 4 months ago, is it possible they were broken then and if so would I have any recourse (probably not - difficult to prove)
BTW it a 2.0 diesel 170
Just wanted to see if anyone has had the same?
