I have recently become the proud owner of a second A6:D .
But have just discovered a fault on the 6-disc multi player, when i load discs the radio reads them all from 1-6 but when it attempts to play one of the discs I get Error code 1. According to manual this indicates dirty or scratched cd's or incorectlly loaded discs
I have tried with brand new discs to no avail and also all combinations of loading.
Anyone got any suggestions??:1zhelp:

I don't mean to be rude, but have you got them up the right way.

I managed to load all of mine upside down once.

Apart from that, it sounds like it needs professional repair.

sounds like the CD player is reading the TOC (Table Of Contents) from the CD's but will not play the content.
Try cleaning the laser in the CD player with a CD/DVD cleaner disc (it has little bristles in the top of the CD) this will remove any dust or ferous build up on the laser lens
Otherwise try to disconnect completely from the electrical system and reconnect it again. this will allow the OS of the CD player to be reset and maybe get the laser in the right place to play the disc
The only other thing i can think of is that some CD multichangers (the ones that live the boot) have a switch on the side that states whether the CD player is to be laid horizontal or vertical, this may be set incorrectly.
As said before a pro repair is need for this (buying a new one would almost be better)
Otherwise it sounds like the laser alignment is out

Good Luck:D

did you have any luck? I only ask as mine is doing the same thing! It worked, played all the CD's then decided it didnt like playing and just said error. Ive left mine unplugged over night, will see if that makes a difference!
