Reverse lights INOP

Hello
I now drive a Audi 80 K reg 2.0 100000
I have checked the fuses and bulbs
Reverse lights will not operate
Is the a switch either on the Gearstick assembly or on the gearbox that I could change
MOT due in 2 weeks
Any help would be appreciated

reverse lights not working wudnt fail mot....so no worries there. they dont check your reverse light on your mot. the reverse light swith is normally located on your gearbox....if you take the wiring connector off the switch and bridge the wires together with a paper clip the reverse light should come on....if it does then it is a reverse light switch faulty.

did you do as suggested and bridge the connections, ie bypassing the switch to confirm the switch is faulty or not? :Blush:

ok... well let us know how you get on! haynes are a good manual, there are various cds and dvds for sale on ebay, but i havent yet seen one which appears to be legit :(
