Climatronic and dash faults

Hi Folks,

Been searching the forum, looking for answers and have at least managed to get some error codes, now i need your help to sort the problem(s)....please...

First off its a '99 Passat 1.6S

Climatronic does not work, fan doesn't run, although display works (flashes repeatedly on startup) and i can cycle through all the buttons.

Have got the following codes:

04F9 Fresh Air Blower
04B6 Standing Time Signal


Next problem is the instrument cluster is dead, no speedo, revs, temp or fuel. Warning lights such as airbag, handbrake, oil pressure etc come up though. Backlightling is not working properly, though i think that could be the switch, as if i hold it just off the sidelight position the backlighting stays on, but on headlights it does not come on at all. Checked the green and purple plug on the back of dash by looking through fusebox, and it looks firmly in place???

I would fit a new light switch and check the brushes in the blower motor.

Climatronic sorted.....

Dash is no good though. I fitted a new ignition switch, but no luck!

Any ideas???

All fuses in fusebox are ok, green/purple plug on back of dash looks secure.

Warning lights come up (handbrake, oil pressure etc), but gauges are all at zero when running:(
