Steel spare wheels

Can anyone one tell me where I can get hold of standard spare wheels for A3s?

did they even do steel wheels on the a3?

My spare is a steel wheel. I've seen a couple of photos on the net of A3s on steels and they were standard cars not all modded up. I just wondered where, other than main ********, I could get them from.

Oh! Both mine and the father-in-laws A3s have steel spares. His is a 2000(I think) 1.9TDi and mine is a 1998 1.6. The only reservation I have about using a breakers is that the wheels have usually been damaged. No worries, I'll have a look elsewhere.

mine's a 2003 1.9TDi... i think audi might have moved to alloy spares, they did have steel wheels on the A4 between 1996 and 2001 so maybe looking for those may make it easier... they're the same ones that were used on passats in that time line ... what size wheels do you have on the cars?

I have 205/55/r16 tyres on A3 turbo alloys but considering my car doesn't have a turbo I wanna change them. I'm guessing they'd 16/7j?? I'll have a mooch on the B5 forum and see if some one can help me there. I assume the PCD is the same?

Had a quick mooch in my local paper only to find a set of 1.6 SE alloys and tyres for £50! So I went and had a glance at them, they are in mint condition!! Not curbed, not scratched, nigh on new set of tires and absolutely excellent nick!! Picking them up on tuesday. Dropping down from 16" to 15" rims but the rolling radius is almost the same so the gearing won't change much. So the search is off!! And I'm a happy chappy.
