s3 2001 lcd screen replacement

Does anybody know if it possible to just replace the lcd screen on a 2001 s3. I have another instrument cluster with a screen wondered if its possible and how difficult it would be and if anybody has tried this?
My thinking was this would be easier that recoding the cluster, any info on this would be appreciated.

BBA reman or clusterepairs......google is your friend...

I can swap the actual cluster for you but I don't change the internals.
