16 pin diagnostic port.

My brother gave me a loan of his reader, just I don't know where the port is. He reckons it's in the ashtray, or underneath it at least. The car is a 2002 S3. If it is in the ashtray how do i best remove it without breaking anything?

My 1998 A3 was underneath the ashtray,theres a little cover plate you can prise off with a small screwdriver.But,on my 2000 A3 its near the bonnet release just inside the drivers door

on my 02 s3 its near the bonnet hatch handle in the drivers foot well a lil up from the hatch ya can see it plain as day
