Does anyone have any experience of connecting an iPhone 3G/3GS (not the iPod) to the MDI connector on a new Golf Mk 6? Am just looking at ordering a new car and have heard that even with the right connector (ie the iPod one not the USB) that there are issues - much as there are with iPhones and older iPod chargers and docks - and it says it wont recognise the accessory on the phone itself?
Is there anything I can specify to make sure the iPhone will work with the RCD310. Note that this is just as a music player - not worried about the bluetooth/using it as a phone stuff as I have a great BT headset and also need to use two different phones with it.
Also can anyone give me a steer on improvements on the RCD510 vs the RCD 310 - not too worried about the multi CD changer as long as I can get the iPhone music playing OK, but are there many other improvements - especially in sound quality?
