I've noticed that my rear speakers and sub have stopped working altogether. Does anyone know if this is a common problem and what to check/ how to fix?
I have a 2001 A3 1.8t. It has the standard concert sound system with the sub built into the left boot compartment.
Many thanks,
Sean

Hi davemk, yeah I have checked the fuses. I have also had a quick look at the wiring going into the sub for a loose connector.
The strange thing is, at first the RL speaker stopped working but was making a quiet popping sound. (RR was working fine) Then the RR stopped working. I'm not sure when the sub stopped working :(
After giving the connector going into the sub a wiggle I could hear some intermittent sound coming out of the RL speaker.

dodgy solders on the Amp inside the sub box going hot and cold all the time causes them to crack and not work! have this problem on my A3 also!
