hi peeps, my car seems to keep going in and out of limp mode, or at least i fink its limp mode, its drivers fine, can rev as high as i want but sometimes it just seems to run without the turbo, i had celtic tuninf remap it to 270 bhp, is there any sort of limiter that needs to be removed, to stop this, or does any know what the problem could be?

Have you checked it on Vag com?

Vag com? i had diagnostics done last weekend, and the other problem was solved and had no further errors

Google Vag com,handy tool for your car.I currently keep losing boost pressure.Its something to do with my Knock sensor (G66).With Vag com you can keep an eye on fault codes,maybe your over boosting.If your ever down in south east kent let me know and il stick Vag com on it for you :D

i could be over boosting, its running 270 now, as before it was 210, its fine at the momentstop boosting the other dasy then went back to normal, where abouts are you in kent mate? i could take a drive down to you, if ud be ok with that? thanks mate

u could have a loose pipe somewhere have u checked all the turbo pipes are tight?

when cool they might be tight enough not to leak but as soon as it gets a bit hotter are some spirited driving it might expand and **** out boost

no i havent checked any of my pipes yet, ill chec them today, do you think its best to check them while the cars hot, or when its cold?

When its cold.Go round all of them checking for splits.If its hot,you will just keep burning yourself

rite, ive checked my pipes, and all is fine with them, ive had the car put on the diagnostics machines 3 times now, and neva picked anything up. my boost cut out twice last nyte, and then came back on when i restarted the car? i really dont know what this could be, could it be an error in the remap? does anyone have any ideas? is there a boost cut out sensor thast has to be turned off for big bhp?

think its sounds like an overboost problem.

although i dont see why its not showingup on vagcom?

the boost going off then coming back on is the limp mode to protect the engine.

speak to crasher on here...the man is a walking vagcom

what you done to get that power oput of a remap ???
