Help ! pd130 engine does not run Can anyone help?

Can anyone help please
My Polo gt tdi is putting out lots of white smoke, had it trailered home, then it went to VW for diagnostics!!!!!!

My car has the following fault codes
18072 Activation of valves for pump/injector electrical malfunction in electrical circuit
and
19558 Motor for intake flap - V157-
No signal
VW believe there is wear on the cylinder head, they tried to replace the
seals, and ( in there words) there was still diesel going to the cylinders.
Not being mechanically minded, which route would be the best to go...
1. Go to a VW independent specialist
2. Go to an engine building specialist
3. Or buy a used unit complete and swap the lot over.

Can anyone reccommend an experienced VW person (North East) who could advise, as the car is parked on the driveway and will need trailering to wherever it wil be fixed.

the first thing would be to have a compression test done

Are you sure the garage know what they are doing. The code "19558 Motor for intake flap - V157" is for the engine shut down flap. If that is stuck partly closed the engine will be starved of air so chuck out lots of unburnt diesel (white smoke). I've never heard of the other code.
