Ko3 to Ko4

Hi All,
I have an Audi A3 (2001) 1.8t.
I have been told that my turbo is on its way out, something to do with the bearings...
Can i possibly put a Ko4 on it instead of replacing the Ko3? If so, would i require any other additional parts? Would it effect the pistons etc... or is it a strait swap and more power?

i really have no idea and any help would be appreciated. :D

Hi there, im not 100% sure but i think the k04 turbo uses a different manifold.
