Battery Replacement But No Stereo Code

Hi, I have a A3 Year 2000 which has the orginal stereo installed. I need to replace my battery soon but i dont have the code for the stereo. Is there anyway i can obtain the code before i disconnect my battery??

do audi charge for giving the code, its the original that the car came with. when i had a bmw sytner bmw leicester didn't charge, jus gave it me over the phone free.

hope someone knows as I need my code too.
