Stereo 'ERR1' message

Hi

I've got an 'ERR1' error massage when I try to play a CD.

I know this relates to 'CD dirty or incorrectly inserted' but the CD is spotless and scratch-free and the CD is correctly inserted.

Does anyone know another reason why I may be getting this error and is it a common error? It's a 1999 A3 stereo.

I get that sometimes, but only on a certain disc.(disc 3)
Always put it down to the stereo system been 9/10 years old!

I find if i take the discs out and shuffle them around a bit, it usually works.

Try running a cleaning disc through the player.

If you are getting this error on a multichanger, try giving it a whack.
