2000 A3 1.6 Sport - Engine lumpy when idle

Hi all,

Pretty much as the title says. When I start the car it seems to rev a little higher, then settle down. When the car is idling the revs fluctuate ever so slightly, and the engine seems to "judder / vibrate - if that makes sense? Any help would appreciated, so I can get it fixed and sell it and get back to a TDI!

Hey mate,

Same sort of thing happened to me, what i did was clean the throttle body with some carb cleaner from halfords, was a bit grimey so i wiped it away. Put it back together and idled perfectly. http://www.vwaudiforum.co.uk/forum/images/icons/icon14.gif
