smoke from exhaust

Hi there, i have an Audi A3 2001 1.8T, and very rarely when i switch the car on, i see white smoke coming out the exhaust (no smell)... this only happens when it wants to...and as soon as i start driving, the smoke goes away...

any ideas would be great.
