Does anyone know if the small fascia above the numberplate (where the key whole is) can be removed?
I ask as my car is immaculate but this bit has started rusting?! If it can be removed ill just find one from a breakers rather than getting it resprayed..

Hi, the trim is removable as i have the same problem.
The trim is aluminium but quite solid and heavy, but being aluminium it corrodes.
I havnt taken mine off yet but ive got another one from a breakers already removed for me, and its held on with two bolts and two nuts on studs by the look of it.
Hope this helps, I only joined this forum today!!

Fantastic! Thanks for the response, that's good news.. I havn't had a look at it yet, where are the two bolts holding it on- are they in the boot (so i'd have to take the tailgate interior trime off) or are they on the outside near the number plate bulbs? Anyone know?
Welcome to the forum by the way :beerchug:

just popped out to look at mine. The studs are inboard next to the number plate lamps, the bolt holes are at the ends.
it looks like you have to remove the tailgate inner trim to access it all.
Looking foward to doing mine as it lets the car down, but have to get it sprayed first, and ive got other issues with the car that are a bit more important, like battery going flat( see other post) Any ideas??
