Navigation Plus - Code problem

Bought an a4 last month - had some problems with the car and the battery was disconnected while a few jobs were done. Battery back on, Nav unit was asking for a code but the code on the handbook card is wrong.

The dealer won't give me a code without plugging the car in to diagnostics ~ £100.

Are there any other options out there? Hunting around the net there are companies who decode ~£40. If I have to go down this route can anyone recommend a company?
