I have a 2002 polo sdi 5spd. when travelling in 4th gear and looking to slow down, with the cluth pedal pressed down, it is impossible to shift into 3rd gear, just seems stuck for some reason. Even if you take it out of 4th gear and leave it in neutral, then try to push into 3rd it will not go.
The only way is to shift into second and immediately shift upto 3rd. Its not a massive problem as the car is still driveable but just wondering if this is normal or if there is something wrong with the gearbox??
