Engine output from VIN number?

Hi,

I'm selling an A3 on behalf of a friend, but the usual tell-tale sticker in the spare tyre well has torn slightly, so I can't make out the figure on that. I do have the VIN number and was wondering if there's any way of telling the engine output from that.

Can I just phone a dealer?

You are better off getting the enginr code, AGU, AMK etc. its ground onto the engine somewhere :dunno:

There was a duplicate sticker inside the front cover of the service book of mine.
