Anyone know where I can get a set of stainless steel pedals for my A4? I believe the RS4 pedals fit but can't find any anywhere!
Are the S4 pedals stainless steel?

They were rubber on the B6 and B7 so doubt you'll get them on a B8 S4.
You can always get them from the dealer.
I had some on my B6 S4 and then sold them when I came to changing to a B8. I assummed they wouldn't fit but to be honest since the car makes no pretence at being a sporty performer I don't mind.

I have seen the steel pedal set on an auto B8.
It was an amalgamation of new RS6 dead pedal and brake and a B7 RS4 accelerator.
I'll find the pic for you and post it up soon.

Here it is, not sure if the B7 RS4 manual set would fit the B8 as I do not know if the pedal design in the B8:

Is the 'dead pedal', available for a 2010 Multitronic A4 avant? It doesn't have to be stainless steel, just somewhere to rest my left foot.

Do the A4s not come with a dead pedal anymore? In the B6/B7 it was a plastic affair to rest your foot on in the manuals at least.

I'm pretty sure there is one but on the B8 the space is a lot less so I've not really had my magnifying glass out to check. ;)
The really did **** up the RHD conversion on the B8!!

That's unless you have gone for the S-Tronic option :D

Harsh...my first car as a 17 year old was a Volvo!
But I see you forgot when ordering your car that the S-Tronic does 0-62 in 6.6 seconds and the manual slugs behind at 6.7 :p
Oh...don't see the Bugatti Veyron drivers complaining too much about their standard twin clutch gearbox either....just keeping up with technology!
Still I think we will both be very happy punters in 1 week's time.

Have asked my dealer if there are any options on changing the rubber pedals for stainless steel or aluminium.
I certainly miss mine from the Edition 30 GTI - indeed with the S-Tronic the placements look very similiar to the GTI's DSG pedal set up.
Will report back.

Hi...
I see you are coming from a ED30, was it a DSG version. If so I hope your new one works better than mine does.
I came from a GTI DSG and it was a dream to drive, very fast to change up and down.
In manual mode it seemed to be even quicker and more aggressive when changing gear.
On the other hand my 2 month old A4 S Tronic is sluggish, erratic and just dam right crap when changing up gear. Changing down is a lot better but still not as good as the GTI.
I've had one metatronic software upgrade which was suppose to have fixed a pulsing / surging problem, but with no luck. In fact Imo it's made the general driving worse. I'm now waiting on the other fix which Audi have in the pipe line.
I'd like to know what you think of the S Tronic gear box when you get your car next week.
If this next new fix from Audi doesn't fix it then I looking at giving it them back.
Sorry for the rant and for high jacking the thread....

Sorry to hear about your S-Tronic problems....fingers crossed they have been resolved with the updates.
Yes I had the DSG in the Ed30. Great experience having the versatility of the manual box and convenience of the auto in one without the loss of performance.
I will update you once I have had a chance to test the new car following next week.
Remain positive!

But what about your left foot, is there a parkling space? I did Norwich to Cowbridge today, (300 miles with a floating left foot).
My beloved 3.2 SEL Passat 4Motion never left me anything less than in awe! Let alone in discomfort.
I have an 85mile each way commute (do the math this is 4000 miles a month) little things matter.
There is also nowhere for your right foot, I spend 45 mins on cruise morning and night, through ave speed cameras etc, so this one aches too! Oh, and yes, there is a foot rest for both feet in the Passat, and much less stress compared to my 2.0T SE FWD, for similar money, due to the impeccable DSG and the 4WD.
