my electronic handbrakes prob. help plz

i just press the button whenever i want it to engage/disengage. but lately i started to use that special option by disengaging the brakes by pressing little bit on the rev. its really works gr8 .. but two days ago i was at the gas station and when i came back to my car .. once i inserted the ignition key the MFD display told me brakes faiture , please check manual... and a red indicator shown on my dash ... after putting the ignition ON\OFF several times it just disappeared.... after a 10 km i stopped again to check the tires pressure and it did it again ... i dont know what kind of prob. is it ... plz tell me wht to do .. i really worried abwt my passat

If you forgot to put your seat belt on the red indicator will come on when you try to move. If you leave the belt off you must press the button.

i did so .. i tried to press the button ... but when i was pressin' it it started to blink that orange light... i dont knw .. what is that... :1zhelp:

As a final possible cheap fix, disconnect and reconnect the battery to see if it resets it. If you still have problems after that take it to your dealer or a good indy.
