Master Key

Not sure if this is the right place for this, apologies if it isn't. Had a phone call from a mate this morning, two cars outside his house "broken" in to. Nothing forced, no windows broken. Passat b6 and a golf mkV
Police called etc....he asked if they could have had a master key, the police didn't deny it, is there a master key capable of unlocking the cars available to dealers?:confused:

Not that I know of but there are tools out there that can get you into VAG cars without damaging anything. It would still set the alarm off though.
