Fuel Gauge

Hi,

The fuel gauge on my a4 avant will not read more than approx 3/4 full even though i fill the car to the brim. Can the gauge be calibrated or is it a sender problem.

Anyone had any experience of this and how to fix??

The gauge can be fine tuned however you could do with getting the car plugged into some diagnostics as the measuring blocks in the instrument cluster can tell you what the tank sender is reading in litres, which will tell you if the gauge or the sender is faulty.

You can also do an output test on the instrument cluster to see if the gauge works as it should.

I think i will have to book it in to audi then as its still under warranty.
