Hi All!
Finally got my RS8 alloys wanted these before I even got the passat they are my fav wheels! I know not everyone will agree but each to thier own! I went for the fat tyre option so got 235/40/18 tyres the only thing thats niggling me is that it sits too high on them for my taste.
Opinions?

I think I want to lower it 40mm but I am only 18 so on a very tight budget! Spotted that the Jamex lowering springs are cheap but are they any good? Also will I need shorter shocks or can I get away with just springs, the car is in good nick and the shocks are good but I dont want to compramise I would rather wait and save if something is going to break!

Thanks in advance!

Been looking into suspension my self. The jamex springs are on ebay i bet. Well iv heard very bad things about the company that sells them, would stay away. anything goes wrong and they wont do anything about it. Done a bit of research and eibach, H&R seem to be the best springs to go 4. Most people say that u should change the shocks for shortened 1's. Most people seem to use bilstein or Koni yellows. Im thinking of the Koni srt kit as it is cheap, seen it for £267 (springs and shocks) 35mm drop. Hoping some 1 has used it and waiting for some fead back myself. Hope this was some help. What about a group buy on suspension????

£267 does sound reasonable. I was looking at the Jamex springs on topgear.co.uk my girlfiend got her wheels for her Focus from there and the service was brilliant. However if shortened shocks are necassary (I had a feeling they would be as its a heavy car) then the shocks/springs packages seem to be the best way to go.
