Hi

I have an 05 1.9 Tdi (115bhp). This yellow warning light has come on (not flashing though - just on permanently) - car is running perfectly. Any ideas as to:

A) safe to drive until next service in 3k (about 6weeks-2 months);

B) what might the fault be;

C) whether the light coming on might have been cause by recent use of Millers over last 800 miles?

Hi MSC,

I had the Emissions System light come on about two weeks ago and after lots of head banging by local mechanics, I took it to an Audi dealer.

My problem was slightly different in that my engine kept over reving at standstill going from 800rpm to 2000rpm then dropping again. This however didn't start until the light was on for two days.

Audi fixed the problem and charged me £160 for the privilage but mustn't complain the two guy's who couldn't fix it charge me £65 collectively.

Mine is a petrol 2.0T (06) so might not be the same, but here is what Audi put on the receipt

* Carried out GFF for poor running no faults stored, vehicle found to have excessive crankcase pressure and fault traced to crank breather valve, remove and replace and carry out road test, car now running ok.
* V06F 129 101 L 467669/Valve £25.23
* Labour £114.00

Like I say, might not be the same but something to look at.
