Hi everyone,
Right I have my iPhone 3G linked and working with my Audi Bluetooth however I cant access my phonebook. I know that on the iPhone all my contacts are on the phone itself and not the sim card becuase the iPhone does not support SIM contacts fully.
Does anyone know how This can be sorted?
I dont have the Multi Media version, I have a Concert head unit with a mobile phone cradle in the arm rest... The cradle is for a Nokia however it does have full bluetooth supprt and my iPhone responds fine when I press the buttons on the cradle or steering wheel.

try deleting all the missed calls and the usual junk that clogs iphone up then re pair and allow 10 mins or so and it may well transfer the phone book as 3g has full phone book availability with prep low and high
The phones currently available on the market do not support a uniform industry-wide interface standard enabling access to the contacts stored in the mobile phone.
If your phone book is not displayed correctly in the vehicle, the problem may be solved as follows:
* Avoid the use of symbols (@, €, &, #, *,...) in the name and number.
* Try synchronising your mobile phone again with your PC.
* The sorting order of the entries is specified by the mobile phone. Especially in the case of phones with Windows Mobile 5, entries are sorted according to first name.
* Make sure that each contact is given at least one name and one number.
* The maximum number of phone numbers in the vehicle is restricted to 1000 for the Audi Q7, A6, A8 and A5 with navigation system, and to 500 for the A2, A3, A4, TT, R8 and A5 without navigation system.
* It is possible that only contacts from the mobile phone’s “Standard” group in the phone book are transferred.
* It is possible that phone number types (private, mobile, business) are not transferred. With some mobile phones, only one number per contact (standard number) is transferred.
doesn't it depend on what revision module is fitted.
I have a "M" module and my contacts don't sync from my Nokia...

http://www.audi.co.uk/audi/uk/en2/new_cars/Technology/electronics/communication/mobile_phone_database.html but dont forget there was also a recall for prep low to update the sw version FOR B7 platform recall 91d4 replaced the control unit to 8P0 862 335 QX
On Audi vehicles manufactured within a limited period and equipped with an on-board phone system that displays the provider name, it is possible that the contents of the phone memory can be damaged when certain types of mobile phone are used. If this happens, it will not be possible to use the hands-free phone function
This revision supports iphone phone book if i recall
