A warm hello from one returning to the VW fold after many years away from the marque.
Back in 1973 I had a Mk1 Golf and a 1300S Beetle, since then it has been,.... Mini, Fiesta, Escort, Renault 9, Renault 5, Fiat Uno, Citroen BX, Citroen AX, Volvo S80 Estate, Granada, Vectra, Mondeo, Focus, Mondeo, Yaris, and finally the Passat, which I have only had for 10 days.
I would have chosen a 2.0 ltr oil burning SE given a free choice, but when the company is paying you can't gripe. And as it hapens I am delighted with the new car, talk about economical and to say it only has 105 bhp in what is a pretty heavy car the performance is quite acceptable and it suits my driving style.
Looking forward to lots of interesting exchanges on this site.

Forgot to mention the Smart Roadster Coupe that we curently own.
