Probably damaged wires to the ccm under passenger seat/footwell. You will need to remove seat and lift carpet to get a good look. This is a very common problem with lots of threads on here. Just search wet carpets/central locking/alarm etc.

Sometimes the wiring is damaged even though the carpet seems dry. It's important to unwrap the wiring so that you get a good look at individual wires.

Can you let me know how you get on?
ie getting to the box under the carpet. Do we need to take out the seat, or is there a quicker way in, what did you find...pics, if possible?
I'll get new blades for my Stanley Knife Friday!
This will be more exciting than Jasper Carrot and his Golden Balls!!!
