How do yu remove the inner door panel

I have a 2005 B6 Passat Sport and the drivers ddor no longer locks/unlocks using the fob. IDoes anyone know how to remove the metal inner door panel so I can access the regulator and lock? Apparently I need to unscrew two screws that hold the window in. Do I use a female star socket and if so what size? Which way do I inscrew them? has anyone else had this problem with the locking?

Check under the passenger seat and carpet for wet wiring. The ccm module connects to the central locking door module. Damaged wires under the carpet can lead to the door not locking with the fob. This is more likely if the door still locks ok with the key.
