Hi everyone

I have an audi a3 2002 registration. My radio/cd/tape in the car is not working. The backlight on the display is lit up but nothing is shown on the display, and no tapes/cds play, and the radio doesnt tune.

Also when I try to turn the radio off the backlight is still lit up. Even when i turn the ignition off and remove the key the backlight is still lit up.

Can anyone advise or has anyone had a similar problem?

.... Much appreciated if anyone can help

Cheers

Ben

aha! i have worked this one out. incase anyone has this issue again:

1. open the fusebox (which is on the driver side dash, hidden until you open the door. jemmy up the lid to reveal it)

2. consult the handbook and remove the relevant fuse

3. put the fuse back in

4. the radio resets itself! all you then need to do is plug in the security code for the symphony radio

hope this helps someone else!

Hi,

I used to have an A6 (52 reg) with a Symphony II head unit, and it occasionally locked up exactly like yours. As you have found, the way to reset it was to pop the fuse out and back in again. Sounds like it might be a common issue with the Symphony II units?
