Hi,
Please help.
Originally, my car would not unlock using the key(s)
I opened the door manually and set the alarm off.
i turned off the alarm by stating the car, and the alarm went off.
i (out of interest) pressed the unlock button many times in succession while the engine was running - lard behold, the key i did this with now unlock the car remotely - phew - stroke of luck.
now, after 200 miles and 2 days later, the battery is dead - not just any dead, but not charging dead.
I jumped the car and left it running - did a VAG-COM check, and the alternator is charging excellently - 14.4 with dead bat, and upto 15 with lights on.
If I leave myt Mk1GTI Golf battery connected the voltage eventually settles down to between 12.4 and 14.0volts.
Ok, so i guess that my battery is goofed on my 2003 1900 TDI Quatt. Sport 130ps.
Although say that, i get a bit of a crack off the battery when i disconnect it!.
My VAG error codes are attached - could someone please help me with "steering Angle Sensor" - what is it??
Please help!! my car is inits infancy with 140,000 on the clock!!
