Single beep every 40 seconds

Hi, can anyone help with this. I get a Single beep every 40 seconds. Coming from the dash. There are no warning lights or anything. It started about 2 weeks ago and happens every 40 seconds for any journey (short or long).

sounds like the radio is searching for a station to me?

no it's not the radio it has an aftermarket radio fitted, which is working fine.

Does the tone sound like any other kind of beep you might get under other circumstances? For example, parking sensor beep?

It is like the beep for both low fuel and low washer bottle but shorter. Those are approx 1 second long, this is much shorter approx .25 - .5 of a second

I was wondering if it was some kind of fault that might normally be accompanied with a display item but for some reason the dashboard indicator not working - just a wild shot. Do all the normal things light up during the pre-test that is normally run when ignition is turned? Just a thought - not had any experience of this fault.

Yes all warning lights etc go out as normal. When driving nothing showing. This started around 2 weeks ago. 100 miles into a 200 mile trip. At first I thought it was my phone, but after turning the phone off it was still there. It is exactly 40 seconds between each beep.
