Rear door seals holding water

I have a B6 Avant. After it rains, when I open the back doors a pool of water has gathered on the door step (which obviously drops onto the floor when the door is opened).

Is this normal? If not, any ideas what is blocked?

Mine is the same, never really bothered me to be honest.

As long as the drain points are not blocked it should not be an issue... It is normal for water to run down the glass and "through" your door.

On my previous car (an Alfa) I had to clear the drain points a few times, but I've not had any issues on the Audi yet...

Yep, my 1.8T quattro s-line 190 saloon does exactly the same.

I did not think it was an issue, but if someone else knows otherwise....................

Same on my B6 Avant. Irritating little design flaw, but I've learnt to step back opening one of the rear doors after it's been raining ;)

Exactly the same thing happens on my B7 saloon, I've only just noticed it happening recently, so I will try clearing the drain holes.
