Well finally got a 2007 Passat 2.0 SE dsg after a long time finding the right car.

Generally the car is great, but one or two issues are niggling at me !

I am finding the brake pedal sits a lot higher than the accelerator so I have to move my leg back all the time to use the brake. Quite uncomfortable.

I have had quite a few autos - all BMW - and never come across this problem before.

The drivers seat is quite soft and unsupportive I find, causing aches and pains on long journeys. I am hoping I can adjust to the seat over time, most of my previous cars have had firm sports type seats.

Any else find the same difficulties ?

I have the same model and year and can honestly say I find the car great on both counts. Never noticed any pedal height problem. Try moving the seat back an extra notch and try the highest setting. The seats I find really comfortable. Long supportive squab, good adjustable lumbar support. Not sport seats of course, but I don't throw it around to need 'em. Better than S models, approaching Volvo standards (but not quite!)

I have the seat on the lowest setting, as when I raise it I always get the feeling I'm tipping out of the seat !

I will continue to fiddle to find the best position

i came from an e39 bmw with sports seats to a non sport seat equipped passat and i hated it for a long time, after a year though i'm used to the lack of support for my thighs. i ended up a lot closer to the steering wheel than ever before but thats cos i dont have dsg and the clutch travels a long way
