I am North of Scotland so not in your neck of the woods, but for the same vehicle had a cambelt change 2 months ago by my trusted indy, for £580 included water pump and all belts and labour. Thought that was a good price.

Hope this helps.

Go to your local Audi dealer and try to get them to match the Stafford Audi ebay price. Mine did (Birmingham Audi for £395 for my V6 tdi)

I have contacted Milton Keynes Audi anout this. They have given me the price of £329 for the cambelt and pre tensioners etc and £34.50 for the water pump. So £363.50 all in! I dont think that is too bad to be honest

Thats a VERY good price for a 2.5TDI (did you tell them the engine code or reg plate?)

The cam belt change on the 2.5TDI is a real big hassle to do and takes hours..

My guess is no he didn't....as that's the price for 4cly engines ONLY. Mind you, to be fair MK Audi probably didn't ask and probably won't do what you have asked them to when you take your car in and it will arrive back sicker than when it left.......

If you go - can you ask them what was so hard about posting me my original service book? They wouldn't - then they lost it between saying no and me getting over there to get it.....buggers.

Hi I just bought a '02 Audi Allroad 2.5 tdi 180bhp that is due a cambelt.Thought for a laugh I would get a price from Perth Audi for replacing the belt which was a laugh cos they quoted £1200 for parts and labour. The belt kit cost 105+vat,waterpump£30+vat and the required special tools are available for about £60 on ebay. All you need then is a week off work to fit the belt lol.Labour time is about 7hrs but the dealer may request the car for a day and a half.If you get it replaced for any less than £600 i would say that was a very good price.

Thanks for the feedback, just for the record, managed to get the whole job done for £395.50, from VWparts at Medowfield near Durham.
