passat 2006 water probs

i hav a new shape passat and around the passenger door there is always water on the inside any ideas please the seal seems to be ok

Dry everything, put talcom powder on the seal surround. Shut door and hose down car. Open door carefully. Water marks should show on talcom powder. Has it had an accident leaving the door not set correctly ? Leaks are a pain to find and fix....goodluck.

thanks i will try this as far as i am aware the car has not been in a accident the botton door seal appears to be the wettest

On my previous car, (Passat B5.5) the passenger carpet became wet. It turned out to be the pollen filter housing fitted badly, allowing water into the ventilation ducts. The dealer fixed the problem and replaced all the carpets under the guarantee. Maybe the pollen filter/ducts are a similar layout on the B6?

I think the problem is the door assembly carrier,you will need to remove the door trim to inspect for leakage.
