Hi guys,

If I were to stick the pd 150 turbo onto the my pd 130 would I also need the FMIC setup to go with this setup or would the SMIC suffice?

I believe both the 1749va and vb turbochargers are both the same apart from a bigger turbine wheel on the vb that's made from titanium instead of aluminium .So it should just bolt right on ....right??

Was thinking about getting a stage two hybrid pd 150 turbo from Turbo Dynamics...

Cheers :beerchug:

A fmic would be ideal, and would help with heat soak, but is not strictly necessary.

Venting the wheel arch will improve the efficiency of your existing smic.

Thanks for replying.

Might be a silly question but how do I vent the wheel arch, its already vented no?

Would the FMIC not really only be of benefit on a track where prolonged bouts of hard acceleration are the norm?

Probably the easiest way to vent your wheel arch liner is to cut it, and bend the strips.

Chopping the vent out of a second hand S3 or TT arch liner, and attaching it to your own is also popular.

A front mount intercooler with a better air flow and larger surface area is just more efficient at dissipating the heat from the turbo compression process, and that is a good thing whether on a track or off it.
