air con compressor part no.

I had my air con regassed last year on my 2002 passat 130 tdi, engine code avf and the guy said my compressor was not giving out the correct pressure was well low but still working, then the bolt on the clutch sheared , clutch falling of the end of the spline to rest on the pipe of the radiator and grind of the spline on both parts, as a temp repair i managed to get the clutch back on but i now have no air con, I have been reading a few posts on this subject as the summer is now with us, I also noticed that the smaller fan on the drivers side in not cutting in, should this cut in when the air con is on low, when 12v is put to it, it does spin, should there be 12v on the other side of the plug i split to put power to the fan, also part numbers my one is 8D0 260805RX, are others compatible, as i am looking at sourcing another, I would be very gratfull for any thoughts or help. You will need one with that part No: unless you want to start changing pipes, brackets etc. That Denso pump is used on lots of models so you should be able to find one. Might be worth getting another pressure switch at the same time incase the pump is ok but the switch is faulty.

thnaks for the reply when you say that denso pump i notice that there are a few variations of model numder 8DO260805 with different letters on the end are these all or some compatiable with mine.

I'm not certain but the letters on the end seem to stay rx when it's for a passat. Perhaps it's something to do with the magnetic coupling which might vary from model to model. The passat one does sometimes end in a "Q"
