Hi there,

I'm hoping someone can help me! I have the above car and have been having some really irritating problems with it recently. :aargh4:
1) Constant lack of power when driving and changing gear then suddenly finds its feet and judders until it realises it should actually be going somewhere.
2) Revs are constantly hunting and are very high.

My dad and I cleaned the throttle body and valve etc with carb cleaner as was very dirty. We thought this might solve the issue but....................after doing this, the car now revs to about 2000rpm on its own! It does settle down once it has had a bit of a run but constantly hunts when stationary. Tomorrow sees another day of tinkering about with it , humph. I just want a car that drives nicely! I've heard suggestions re coil packs, sensors etc but I'm hoping it's going to be easier than that to sort.

Any help greatly appreciated!

Thanks in anticipation.

Laura

You need to adapt the throttle body to the ECU,and check for unmetered air

Not only adapt the throttle body but a very important step with the AKL engine is to delete the learnt values in Adaptation 10, Group 00, read and save.
