Tdi Turbo ticking??

Had my golf for about 2 years now been the best car ive ever had, but just recently it's developed an annoying ticking sound quiet loud when turbo kicks in under load, (Can drive through it)! Best way to describe the noise is sticking a piece of paper thru the protective gaurd on a portable fan (youve all done it)

And also the whistle which comes from the turbo is quiet loud, well ive noticed it getting louder over time but only really bothered me now the ticking has come out to play. Oh and it's mainly in 3rd 4th and 5th gears when the ticking appears.

any help or advise would be appreciated.

The spring in the dump valve had weakened so took it off was getting abit annoying anyways ... performance seems to be abit better.
