Hey Guys,
Fantastic site! This is my first time joining on a forum so go easy. I stumbled on your site through an internet search soon after I bought a '53 Avant 1.9TDi (130). I was looking into transmission issues. OMG! Wish I had found you guys earlier! I never knew there was such a problem with the Multitronic :( The car is going into Audi dealership on Friday for diagnosis. I bought from a Dealer and he is being quite good about it all, at the moment, saying that he will get it all sorted out for me. Not so sure though, when I picked the car up it was supposed to of been fully serviced and valeted, but neither had been done. Valeting wasn't an issue for me, but the service side was. We shall see!

Anyway Hi to all and hopefully my car will be as good as new in no time!

Hello Axel,
What did you have before the Audi?

I had 3.0 V6 Shogun! It was like a battle bus. Decided I wanted a bit more refinement and class!

Hey Guy's
Update on transmission. Audi carried out diagnostics and checked oil level and analyzed some. The oil was low by 1Lt! Slight swarf was found, but no large parts! Possible input shaft fault but requires DISS to confirm!? Retested values, all were okay. Transmission seems better, no rollback on inclines when in drive now. But still 'kangaroo's' when you try to accelerate quickly from standstill could this be a fault elsewhere?
Regards
AxeL

Hiya mate,
I wouldn't be happy with it kangarooing as you put it.
have a word with audi and see if they can do something else to check it or see if they are willing to foot the bill if you take it to a transmission specialist.. who would be better equipped.. :beerchug:
