Before i take the car to VW to have a look at i thought i would ask if anyone has seen this with their DSG.

Sometimes (four in total now - two in snow i let it off as it was like an upside down toitoise in the snow and two recently in the summer sun) the car has stalled when going from reverse to drive - the car stalls, usually think nothing of it in to neutral re start all fine.

However the last time i restarted as soon as i put it into D it stalled again, did notice the revs drop to about 650 RPM as it stalled - RESTART ALL FINE AWAY WE GO.

Its been fine ever since, it may want the clutch packs tweeking slightly, its been scanned and no faults recorded, so i dont want drive over to VW for them to say 'computer says no' i doubt it would do it when asked.

Car is a passat 2.0 TDI SE DSG 140 (57) 28K - been pretty much faultless so far - LOVE THAT CAR

Any comments welcome......................

Cheers Guys

I've had my DSG stall a couple of times over the last 6 months, haven't really noticed if the same sequence of gear shifts has taken place before, but I think it was when going from reverse to drive.

Will have to observe more closely if it happens again.

More weirdly somtimes when in N, I get the feeling that the DSG is almost gripping (like riding a clutch) you can almost feel the car rocking very slightly, put into D and it stops straight away!

I had DSG on my 3.2 SEL 4 Motion Estate and that never stalled, however it would sometimes not engage drive, if I came out of reverse, coasted a bit downhill and engaged drive whilst still moving backwards - that was unnerving as the engine is going 9 to the dozen. It fixed itself when you stopped.
